Description: Incredibly well made Expanded Notch Bolen Bevel made of black tannin stained raw Chert. Found in the early 1960's. A true art form, note how expertly the base and notching was executed. The base is ground smooth with all the delicate ears and tiny base corners intact. Gentle alternate beveling with a smooth blade face with not stack or bumps. An exceptional master knapper made this point as if his life depended on it, which it did!
