~ Spectacular Grade 10 / 7" Buzzard Roost ~ Benton Culture Point ~ SOLD
Length: 7 1/8"
Grade: 10
Description: Just found on Sept 5, 2026 just a few weeks ago in a small creek. The finest example I have ever seen of this subtype from the Benton Cluster of points; called a 'Buzzard Roost'. This blade is 1st stage and has never been resharpened and made of creek stained orange Chert. These were huge knives were made during the Middle Archaic Era some 5,400 years BP.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission Henderson Co. Tennessee. Since this find has just occured I have excellent provenance down to the exact location of discovery which will be provided to the purchaser.
