Height: 3 3/4"
Grade: 9
Description: This 'bell shaped' Pottery Trowel is made of fired clay and was used to smooth out inside of pottery vessels during the manufacturing process when the clay was still wet and pliable. These are relative rare and this one is particularly nice example. I wonder how many native women held this handle and how many pots this made?
Provenance: Found many years ago on private property with permission near the Red River in Robertson Co. Tennessee
