Description: Tick Island Pottery Ear Spool (500 BC - 900 AD) Woodland Era. Extremely rare to find anything like this. Imagine wearing this in your ear lobe, like the modern gages that you see some wear. This must have been 'one bad hombre'. Definitely a sign of high status to wear this. Found within the shell middens that were extracted by a commercial dragline and barge operation that operated during the early 1970's. (see the last picture)
