Description: Middle Mississippian (1400 AD.). Shelled tempered Pottery Jar form. Crushed river shells were added as a tempering agent on this vessel. Common shape with a couple of spots with restoration including the rim and a patched hole in the bottom.

Provenance: Found many years ago on private property with permission. Found in northeastern Arkansas.
