Description:Beautiful ancient burnt orange glossy finished Fluted Clovis Spear Point. A good sized Clovis. Heavily ground up 1" from the base corners. Typical Paleo flaking with large percussion flakes removed extending across the blade in several places. The base on one side has a substantial central flute extending 7/8" up the base while the other blade face has multiple small parallel flutes extending up about 1/2". Flat in cross section and quite thin.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission. Found in South Georgia many years ago by the Late Joseph Franchio. Lee Co. Georgia. Ex: Tommy Beutell Collection.
