Description: The only Pontchartrain in the whole national collection and it is as fine a speciemen as you will ever see. Long median ridged with finely executed serration and a long well formed stem that has been heavily ground. Made of heavily patinated Fort Paynes Chert. Tom Davis gave it a G-10, rare for Tom to do.

Provenance: Found on a beach on Lake Pontchartrain in 1932 by Brad Stevens. He had a large Rice Plantation and was a Game Warden. Comes with a Tom Davis C.O.A. Ex: Len Weidner Ex: Major Spessard Collection.
