Description: This beautiful purple and cream heat treated Hillsborough Point is nearly flawless and in made of high grade translucent Chert. Note the pocket of Druzzy Crystals on the ear. Middle Archaic Newnan Culture Atlatl Spear Point. It is a theory held by some that Hillsborough points are specialized for warfare as a number of burials near the town of Astor the St. Johns were found in the 1960's with these types of point embebbed in the bones of humans.
