Description: These pieces of ancient painted pottery were surface collected many decades ago. They represent the traditional ceramic art form created by the Anasazi people, also known as the Ancient Ones, who inhabited the Four Corners region of the United States (New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona) from around 500 to 1300 AD. The Anasazi pottery is characterized by its distinctive coiling and scraping technique, using clay and mineral-based paints. I will not have anymore of this beautiful material.
