Description: Exceptional double fluted Clovis crafted of gold high grade translucent Chalcedony. This piece has an unusual almost Dalton-like appearance in its current form, due to its repeated resharpening that narrowed the blade over time. The steep flaking along the blade edges, reflects the maker's effort to maximize the life of the tool as it neared exhaustion.

The base is ground smooth, with lateral edge grinding extending approximately 3/4" up from the base toward the ears- classic and correct for the type. A fine example showing both beauty of material and evidence of extended Paleo use.
