Miller Co. Georgia ~ Chattahoochee Dalton No. 2
Length: 1 3/4"
Grade: 9.5
Description: This one is a match to the other one I posted earlier and was found on the same hill top in the same field. Rarely found and even more unusual to see in this fine a condition. Late Paleo, Chattahoochee Dalton made of heavily patina Coastal Plains Chert. The base and lateral edges are ground smooth. Percussion flaked followed by careful pressure flaking down the blade edges to create fine serrations and a bevel blade. Collateral flaking is also present.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission by Michael Bailey Miller Co. Georgia.
