Beautiful Polka Dotted Wacissa
Length: 2 1/2"
Grade: 9
Description: Like bright stars shinning out in outer space. That's what these random dots of white look like to me. This material cam originally from the Dothan Chert quarries in southeastern Alabama, but the point was found way over on the Pea River in eastern Coffee Co. Alabama some 33 miles away as the crow flies. Wacissa typically have finely worked blades and keen tips as is the case with this example. But it really is all about the colors on this point. It really pops in the frame!
Provenance: Found on private property with permission. Coffee Co. Alabama, Pea River Basin
