Description: Well preserved thin Hair Pin. Narrow sharp tip, gentle ever expanding to 7 1/8 inches. The top has been flattened and nicely ground off. Found in 2 pieces in close proximity to each other and it rejoined perfectly. An interesting feature on this piece is the gouge or deep groove near the bottom of the pin. I assume the stone tool used to make it catch the bone hard and made this gash that has been smoothed over.
