Description: This nice large complete Late Woodland to Early Mississippian Era Celt is made of a beautiful jade colored dense greenstone material. Made from a combination of manufacturing technics including pecking and grinding. The bit is finely polished. This was used as an axe.
Provenance: Found on Jan 2, 2009 on private property with permission, Tennessee River, Guntersville Basin, Jackson Co. Alabama.
