Description: A complete polished Deer Bone Pin or Awl in great state of preservation. Using Deer Leg bones that cut and split and then ground and polished, these were used as awls probably in preparing textiles or basket weaving. Extremely polished tip is from repeat long term use wear.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission Volusia Co. Florida.
