Description: This medium sized, Steel Blue, Clovis Knife just has the 'Look of great age'. It has all the hallmarks and knapping technics of the Clovis Culture. Such as the 'Step Down' Flaking present on one side to thin the base with distinct percussion flakes parallel to each other extending 3/8" up from the base. While the opposite blade face has a narrow central flute extending 7/8 up from the base. 'Over Shot' and collateral flaking all via percussion flaking formed the blade. The base and lateral edges of the blade near the base are slightly ground. Interestingly, near the tip, just over an inch of both edges is ground totally smooth. This is from some repeated action attributable to use wear.
