RARE ~ Mid to Late 1700's Indian Trade 'Strike a Light'~ Fully Preserved


Length: 3"

Grade: 9

Description: Basically this piece of steel would be held by placing 3 or 4 fingers thru the rectangular opening and then clinching your fist you would strike a flint rock to start a fire. This one was found in a Mid to Late 1700's Indian Village trash pit. These were traded to the Indians for animal furs. The rust has been completely removed and a coat of rust inhibitor has been applied. It is ready for display and will never rust again.

Provenance: Found on private property with permission. Found in Stewart Co. Georgia
