KIller Osceola Greenbrier ~ From South Georgia
Length: 3"
Grade: 9.9
Description: A beautiful Early Archaic wide blade (over 2" wide) with similarities to a Kirk Corner Notch, but the base configuration says Oseola Greenbrier Type 2. Carlos Tatum Paper it as a Greenbrier as well. Gorgeous creek stained Coastal Plains Chert with amazing flaking. Broad percussion flaking formed the blade, followed by extremely precise careful pressure flaking. The well defined notches were made by indirect precussion. In many ways this is a unique one of kind piece. Truely a high grade investment piece.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission in Lee Co. Georgia. Found many years ago by Rick McMullin.
