Heavy Duty Double Fluted Paleo ~ Ross County Clovis
Length: 2 3/4"
Grade: 8
Description: Made of a burnt orange Coral with large central flutes on both sides of the blade. Heavily ground on the base and the sides up 1 inch from the base corners. Made from a uniface flake. On the heavily worked side there is a large 'Over Shot' flake scar extending nearly across the whole point, a Paleo attribute. This one is a classic Ross County variant that tend to be thicker in the waist and beefer overall than the standard Clovis. This may indicate their primary use as knifes of the Clovis Culture.
