Fossilized Ice Age ~ Lama Toe Bone with Evidence of Alligator Predation
Length: 3"
Description: This Ice Age Lama never made it across the river. His Toe Bone has a bite mark and definitely show evidence of predation by an Alligator. The puncture hole is the right size and shape and fits the typical feeding pattern of Alligators that will bite nears the joints to separate the limb bones and break them down into manageable pieces. Rare to find fossils that show this pathology.
