Exhausted Paleo ~ Suwannee Point
Length: 1 3/4"
Description: An Ocala Chert Suwannee completely exhausted. All the Paleo construction technics are here. Slight abrading of the base, small flute on one side of the base with steep pressure flaking on the opposite side of the base. 'Cross Over' flaking is also present. In the end of its useful life, it looks like it may have been resharpened on the fly while it was still in the haft and then later cut out of the half to refit a new blade maybe back at their camp.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission in Marion Co. Florida
