Description: Among the rareist of all the Dalton type found. Late Paleo, Ocmulgee Dalton made of heavily patina Coastal Plains Chert. Classic straight long drooping ears and very thin. The base and lateral edges are ground smooth. Percussion flaked followed by careful pressure flaking down the blade edges to create fine serrations and a bevel blade. Collateral flaking is also present.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission near the Ocmulgee River in Calhoun Co. Georgia. Ex Tommy Beautell Collection.
