Description:A complete polished Deer Bone Pin or Harpoon in great state of preservation. Using Deer Leg bones that cut and split and then ground and polished, these were then socketed into spears and were used as harpoons for spearing fish, mainly from dugout canoes. (Note the back end is unpolished. This dull brown section of the harpoon was embedded in the socket and is 1 1/4" long.)
