~ Dark Orange ~ Osceola Greenbrier ~Type 2
Length: 2 3/4"
Description: Osceola Greenbrier Type 2 that lacks the nippled protrusion in the base. Beveled on all blade edges. The base is ground smooth with beautiful multipule thinning strikes. The notches are slight and have been resharpened thru on one side. The material is Coastal Plains Chert. The patination is heavy. The polish shows its long exposure to moving sand and water. Their connection to the Paleo Lithic Clusters is unknown, but it is suggested that these date to the Late Paleo or Proto-Archaic Era.
