~ Black Coral ~ Osceola Greenbrier ~Type 2
Length: 2"
Grade: 9
Description: This point is made of some beautiful black Coral. A couple of nice flute strikes come up 3/4" from the base on one side with steep 'Step Down' pressure flaking to finish off the base. The notches and all basal edges are ground. Their connection to the Paleo Lithic Clusters is unknown but it is suggested that these date to the Late Paleo or Proto-Archaic Era.
Provenance: Found on private property with permission from Suwannee Co. Florida.
