Description: The Mastodon went extinct in North America by the end of the last Ice Age some 10,000 years ago and this one appears to be much older than that. These large Elephants were hunted by early man. This is a Jawbone or Cheek Bone of one of these animals. The hole in the middle is where muscles tendon and nerves attached.
