Description: Rarely found artifact. Some could look their whole lives and never fine one. This wonderful complete Banner was found in Colquitt Co. Georgia and is made of claystone or some call it mudstone. The bore hole extends 1 3/4" across thru the center and is right at 3/8" in diameter. It was found in a plowed field. This is a Middle to Late Archaic era Banner as this style originated with the Benton Culture but spread out to among the most common types we have particularly in the deep south. Complete provenance to the purchaser including details as to where it was found.
