Description:A spectacular Classic Fluted Clovis made from raw heavily patinaed Coastal Plains Chert. Heavy grinding is present on the bottom of the base and also on the lateral edges up over 1 1/4 inch from the base corners. There are 2 parallel flute strikes extending up from the base, the primary larger flute is 1 1/4 inch long. On the opposite blade face there is one thinning strike that hinges out at 1/4" up from the base. The blade edges are all formed by small percussion flaking. Perfect Clovis with no damage whatsoever.
